About Voltix

Voltix is a toolkit of professional electrical calculators built for the people who actually wire buildings - electricians, apprentices, inspectors and electrical engineers. Our goal is simple: give you fast, accurate answers to the calculations you do every day, whether you're at the desk or up a ladder with no signal.

Built for three standards

Electrical work doesn't follow one rulebook. Voltix supports the three major wiring standards used across our core markets:

• NEC - the National Electrical Code, used across the United States. See our NEC reference.
• BS 7671 - the IET Wiring Regulations used in the UK and Ireland. See our BS 7671 reference.
• AS/NZS - the Australian and New Zealand wiring rules. See our AS/NZS reference.

Web tools and an offline app

The calculators on this website are free to use in your browser, ideal for quick checks and lookups. The companion Voltix apptakes the same engine offline, adds the full set of 12 calculators, and bundles the reference tables you'd otherwise dig through a book for. No account, no sign-up, no data collection.

Accuracy & responsibility

We work hard to make every calculator correct against the published standards, and each tool shows the formula it uses so you can check our working. That said, these calculators are a professional aid, not a substitute for engineering judgement. Always verify results against the current edition of your wiring standard and the specific conditions of the installation.
